Job Description
We are currently hiring for Welding/Machine Operators and Roll Mill Operators with PLC/CNC experience for a distribution facility located in Smyrna, TN. These are temp to hire positions.
Welding/Machine Operator Pay and Perks:
- $19 - $25 an hour depending on shift and position
- 2nd shift: Monday –Friday
- 3: 00pm –12: 00am with overtime opportunities daily and weekends as needed

Welding/Machine Operator Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience operating a Welding Machine OR a Roll Mill with PLC/CNC experience
- Must have either High School Diploma or GED
- Team-oriented
- Standup forklift is a plus
Welding/Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setup and operates rolling mill to reduce or form nonferrous metal into plate, sheet, foil, flatware, and rod of specified dimensions
- Adjust rollers, buffs, and guides according to size and dimensions of work piece, using screw downs, micrometer, steel tape, and hand tools
- Turn valves and observes gauges to regulate flow, temperature, and solution of roll lubricants and metal coolants
- Measure width and gauge of rolled metal, using linear tape and depth gauge and adjusts rolls to form metal to specifications
- Observes rolling operation to detect curling, splitting, or buckling of metal
- Change rolls on rolling machine, using chain or power hoist
